HBA-USA Student Transfer Program
This is an initiative that aims to strengthen the interaction between the Greek-American and the Greek academic community
and promote the establishment or expansion of existing permanent mobility programs as well as the scientific cooperation
among American and Greek universities.
General instructions

  • Eligible candidates are:
- Those have received a BSc degree and are interested in applying for graduate programs in American Universities
- Graduate students (MSc or PhD candidates) that have been admitted in Greek universities and have fulfilled all their
courses requirements.


  • The application will be considered valid upon prompt receipt of all supporting application materials at the HBA-USA's
    mailing address

  • The deadline for the submission of the application is 6 weeks post submission of the on-line application for the HBA-
    USA student transfer program (the folder containing the application material should be stamped by the Greek post office
    or other mailing company no later than this date. It is recommended for the applicant to obtain a proof of sending receipt).

  • The applicant may submit one application for up to 3 positions

  • The applications will be evaluated by a scientific committee consisting of 3 faculty members of the Greek-American
    academic community. More than one applicants will be matched for each available position. The final decision will be
    up to the Principal Investigator that offers the position.

  • Communication attempt of the applicant with the Principal Investigator(s) prior to the final decision of the evaluation
    committee will result in withdrawal of the application

  • All documents need to be submitted in English
